ABC fun

Check this out --- I love letters!

I decided to put these letter cards in order by giving each letter a ride in my wagon and then putting it in place.

I just mentioned my love of the magnadoodle - well, the big boys (Wilson, Sam, Elliot) just got me a new magnadoodle! I am so excited! This is great news because now I will have one in Austin and one in Houston. I wrote "Thank you" on my new magnadoodle to show my friends. Thank you for the great gift!

I am also drawing faces now. Take a look.

I made a face in the O of my name - neat, huh?

By the by, I am in Alabama right now with mimi and pops while daddy is working in Houston and momma is at an Alliance of Baptists meeting in California. Don't worry, I will show pictures and tell you all about my adventure.

Magnadoodle

It's like this: I love my magnadoodle. I love to make letters and numbers on it. I also enjoy tracing letters and numbers, which is what I am doing in this picture.

Yea magnadoodle.

Say what?

Daddy: "Owen, how are you feeling?"
Owen: "I am feeling just fine, thank you."

Momma: "In 5 minutes we will need to leave."
Owen: "Excuse me - 6 minutes."

Doctor: "Owen, will you open your mouth so that I can see your throat?"
Owen: "No, thank you."
Doctor: "Owen, please open your mouth."
Owen: "I have a different idea."

New Jersey Friend

This is Lee. She is our friend from New Jersey.

Lee was in Houston visiting her sister and she came to visit us too. She read me a book.

Momma and daddy met Lee when they lived in New Jersey. Did you know they used to live there? I got to visit last year and I met Lee then too. On that visit I got to play with Lee's granddaughter.

Two in the bed . . .

I like to "sleep" in my momma and daddy's bed while they get ready in the morning . . .

It is very funny!

Boy and Baby

Recently, when I wake from napping or night-night, I have been saying, "Someday soon, I will be a butterfly."

One day I announced that I would be a yellow butterfly. On a different day, I declared I would be a blue butterfly. We will just have to wait and see.

Butterfly or not, I am certainly both a big boy and a baby:

Big boy - sitting at my table with coasters. These coasters do not typically live on my table. But, I explained, "I am big. I need coasters for my drinks."

Big boy - doing work with daddy. I love to type numbers and letters on the computer.

Baby - can you believe my parents had this put away? Hello! It is ELMO! Sure it is designed for babies but hey . . . I am not so big just yet.

Oh and I got a hair cut. What do you think?

I have also been asking my parents to do things like carry my milk cup upstairs because, "I can't -- I am too big."

Visit from Amy

Our friend Amy came all the way from South Carolina to visit PupPup.

Well, and me and momma and daddy. Momma and daddy know Amy from College.
We had a great time playing.

I am so glad you could come to see us!

Fun at Elyse's House

Last week my parents went to a party that was not designed for people of my stature. It was fine with me not to go because I got to go to Elyse's house to play.

We have so much fun together. We played with puzzles and books.

We made some beautiful works of art.

We also had a "Dance Party!" (not pictured)

Oh and we did a great job taking turns on Elyse's new bike.

Thanks, Elyse, I had a great time at your house!

See the baby elephant?

Hutson and I held hands and walked all over the zoo.

I LOVE this fish tunnel!

I think the carousel was my favorite part of the day.

See Elyse and Aunt Sharron, Hutson and Uncle Mike, and me and momma? We had so much fun!

Actually, I think my favorite part was getting to hang out with friends!

This video shows the baby elephant getting a bath.

And this one is of two boys in a fish tunnel.

Covenant shirt

See my new church t-shirt?

Momma and daddy have church shirts too. We will have to get a family shot matching. I have become very interested in matching. Momma and I have the same shirt from California (thanks mimi) and I love it when we wear them on the same day. And I try to pick the same color shirt as daddy as often as I can so that we can match.

Daddy and I were making numbers on the computer this morning. I typed too many eights for the line where I was collecting eights. Daddy said, "Oh no, there are too many eights!" I had three too many eights. So, I corrected: "No, I have three many eights!"

Blog backlog: Elyse and Sterling Turn Two

My friends Elyse and Sterling turned two in June! YEA!
I am two. This morning I said, "I am two and PupPup is two, also."
Elyse and Sterling had a birthday party together and we were invited. We had a great time.

In addition to the great pool, we all got to play in this bouncy/ball castle.
Here's Elyse enjoying the fun!

And here I am with Sterling. We had a great time climbing in and out and jumping "like joey kangaroos."

You can see Elyse in her lady-bug hat on the left. I am in the middle and Sterling is on the right of the picture.

Three TWO year olds . . .

Although not pictured, Elliot was there too and he is ALSO TWO! I cannot tell you how much fun it is to have so many friends my age.

Reading

I love books. I cannot remember a time when I did not enjoy looking at books and having them read to me.

Now I can read to myself. Okay, so actually, I have memorized several books. I can read a few words though. I can read: happy, baby, milk, number, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, Owen, Momma, Daddy, Mimi, Pops, love, open, no, red, and on.

This is a library book. I surprised my parents by reading it at Elliot's birthday party in May. We have this book at my school. I have at least 6 other books memorized. Come over and I will read them to you.

Mimi and Pops: Part 3

Once my momma and daddy got back from Tennessee, we all spent as much time as possible in the pool. When I woke up each morning I would say, "Let's go to the water!"

Watch my trick.

Are you watching?

Ta-da!

The pool stairs are so much fun!
And my parents are pretty fun, too!

Mimi agrees. She played with me on the stairs and she love my parents, too.

I love playing with daddy!

Here's pops helping me swim.

More swimming. Daddy is helping me kick my feet.

Mimi was taking my picture and I decided to touch the camera lens.

A popcicle. A pool. A party.

"Peace."

"Four. F-O-U-R."

Yes, I know my sunglasses are upside down. I like them this way.

I'm having some technical difficulties with these glasses.

"One! O-N-E!"
By the way, I can spell numbers one through ten.

Roll Tide!

Alabama PEACE!

MONKEY SEE

MONKEY DO

I am using the water hose to make letters.

And to get people wet.

Oh yeah, that was fun. High five!

Here I am on the plane. I love to fly!

See the clouds?

I had a great time with my mimi and pops.
My cats missed me, though, so I was glad to get home. I was so happy to see my cats and to go back to school yesterday.
Thank you, mimi and pops, for a lot of fun!
