Memorial Day

Here is a picture of me and my friend Elyse. This picture was taken last July 7 when Elyse was not even a month old! We had a lot of fun then, but now . . .

. . . we have even more fun!  On Memorial Day we went swimming together. We have matching floats - mine has ducks and Elyse's is a ladybug - we used them to play bumper cars. Elyse taught me to kick my feet - it makes the float move around the pool. We had so much fun. Oh momma, daddy, Aunt Sharron, and Uncle Daniel were there too. I love Memorial Day! And I love my friend, Elyse!

Magnets!

Magnet, magnet, who's got the magnets?

I love to play with magnets. Doesn't everyone? These were given to me by Wilson, Sam, and Elliot - they are big boys at church. They are such great friends. Thanks guys!

Check out the curl in the middle of my forehead?  Do you know the rhyme: "There was a little boy who had a little curl right in the middle of his forehead?"  Me neither but momma keeps saying it to me.

I like to put my magnets on the floor and sort them and then put them back on the dishwasher or the fridge.

Since both our moms like taking pictures, I can provide a pictorial account of some of our friendship (first picture: Hutson: 16 months and Owen: 4 months; second picture:Hutson: 18 months and Owen: 7 months; third picture: Hutson: 21 months and Owen: 9 months;forth picture: Hutson: 27 months and Owen: 15 months).

Daddy's Shoes

I really like shoes. I like to try to put on my own shoes. I like to wear momma's shoes (especially her flip flops). And I love to wear my daddy's shoes. I am a big boy. I can put these on all by myself.
After the workout of wearing daddy's shoes, I relaxed in the green chair for a while with my globe and my milk carton (I like to take the lid off and put the lid back on).

Mas Agua

Mas agua por favor! I love to drink from daddy's water bottles and from his water glasses. I also like to help him drink from them.

You can see me playing with my bus, mousey, and my crazy eye bird book. I have fun!
A couple stories:

My parents ordered milk for me at a restaurant - they were out of regular milk and brought me chocolate milk instead. I took a sip. I took another sip. I hugged my milk and rocked it and patted it. I liked it A LOT!

Today at church, I was playing outside. I wanted something particular and I kept pointing. The helpers would bring me an item and say, "Do you want this?" I would shake my head and say, "No!" Finally, I gave up on them and walked over to the shovel I wanted, picked it up and said, "This!"

A NEW CAR!!

On Monday I had dinner with Ruben and Alex and their dads, Stephen and Joe.  Ruben and Alex are big boys.  They have outgrown some of their toys and wanted to give them to me.  They are so very wonderful to share their toys with me.

I took Pup Pup on a ride in my new car.  He liked it.

Here are Ruben and Alex playing with some of the toys they brought me.  Puzzles, a xylophone, a tricycle, A NEW CAR, a globe with shapes, O MY!!!  It was exciting enough to have dinner with my friends but to get so many new toys, too.  THANK YOU!

Playing with new toys . . .

I am getting pretty good at putting the shapes in the the holes.  I am so proud when I get it right and well, pretty frustrated when I can't get the shape to fit.

Thank you Ruben and Alex!
