May

Post by Owen

Grayson likes to do everything I do.  He now insists on swinging on the big swings.

And playing in the dirt - just like me.  That's our friend Aiden - he is from Australia.

Okay, the yogurt eating he did NOT learn from me!

This takes some explaining: Grayson saw a couch turned on its end at Daddy's office during some intraoffice moving.  He found this very disturbing and said, "Uh oh couch!" over and over.  In working through the experience, he put the bus and the train on end and said, "Uh oh bus! Uh oh train!"  I tried to explain to him that the couch was okay but he is working through it in his own way.

We love to play on the couch cushions!

Daddy plays, too.

Here I am watching "Wood Whisperer" with Daddy.  It is a great show about a wood worker and the projects he creates.

More coping - Grayson has to sit up here on these stools with me while we eat froyo.

Why does he like to do everything I do?

We do have our differences and not just yogurt.  For example, here I am playing with something I made in Sunday School.

And here's Grayson playing with his "babies."  No thanks.

We both like to play in the garden.  Here are the squash.

Ready to harvest.

I am an excellent hulahooper!

Here we go again.  Same routine.  Grayson trying to do it, too.

How does your garden grow?

So, sure, it can be difficult to have a shadow, but I love my brother.  Here is a picture I drew of him swinging.  I labeled it with my version of how to spell his name.

Grayson liked it.

Here I am at my piano recital.  Did you know I take piano lessons?  I really love it!

Um, yeah, that's Grayson in MY shoes!

They look pretty good.

We like to read together.

You see where he learned the big boy swing, right?

Ducks on the dock.

Birds on the line.

Nettie and Gray on a cushion.

Gray on the VHF radio: "Race committee, race committee, this is Breezing Up!"

Now Cookie Monster has a turn.  This picture was taken shortly before Grayson tossed Cooking into the bay. "Bye bye, Cookie.  Bye bye.  Sorry Cookie."

Grayson is a good crew member.

Playing checkers with Daddy!

Uncle Bill knows how to use the radio.

Grayson is learning.

The boat is great fun.  This pile of sand by the stairs is pretty great, too.

Our baby was tired after so much fun!

More "Wood Whisperer" with Daddy.

Grayson likes to play piano with me, too.  Not surprising, I suppose.

And here he is wearing MY crab hat.  It looks good on him!

Brotherly BINGO!

Grayson Videos

For some strange reason blogger has not been letting us upload videdios.  It is for this reason that there have been no videos of our baby, Grayson.  But, as of tonight, it is working and so without further adieu, may I present my kid brother:

Singing "Happy Birthday" on his birthday!

Singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" on our boat - May 2015

Some chatting while eating peas (peas are the green things that are coming out of his mouth)
- April 2014

Fun times in the highchair clapping and laughing - February 2014

April

Post by Grayson

April showers bring May flowers . . . unless you live in Houston . . .

What? Don't most almost 2 year olds use power tools.  You will have to wait for pictures of what we are building but stay tuned for a garden planter box!

EASTER

We have an Egg Hunt each year at church.  Here I am finding eggs!

My big brother is a pro at finding eggs.

He is so talented that he took a break from finding eggs in his age-group hunting grounds in order to help me find eggs in my hunting ground. What a great guy!

After all that work, we opened our eggs! What fun!

And then a special visitor came!

EASTER MORNING

Little boy Lego (aka Duplo)

Big boy Lego

Flowers from church

There are no Easter Sunday picture because it was RAINING like crazy but be assured we both looked adorable!

Here we are at Penzey's Spices coloring and playing.

My brother drew a picture of our family.

Back to the flowers in our front yard - a nice place for a lizard!

My dad and mom went on a date and ran into the wife of one of daddy's co-workers.  Fun!

Uncle Steve and Aunt Sara came all the way from Tennessee to visit!  Hooray!

Uncle Steve brought his saxophone!

I love yogurt!

Owen is taking piano lessons and he loves to play.  I like to play with him!

While Uncle Steve and Aunt Sara were here we went to the famous Beer Can House here in Houston.  You can see Owen's legs as he walks on the porch.

Here I am in the stroller checking things out!

Check out the lemon tree!

Well, look at this!

Here we are.  I am pretty much ready to leave and not feeling like smiling.

With Uncle Steve.
