Summer Fun

Here is my big brother.  He is a preacher like Momma!  Like the waterfall coming from the pulpit?  This was taken during Camp Community at our church.  I did not get to go - two more years until I am old enough! Ridiculous!

I mean look at me!  I can keep up with those big boys!

Don't you love this outfit?!  My Aunt Sharron made it for me.  She knows I love sailing!

Happy!!!

These are our friends: James, Ruben, and Alex.  I love hanging out with the big boys.  You cannot see me but I am just below them taking part in the fun!

I love girls, too.  Here's my pal Eloise.  She is just a few months older than me.  She can walk!  I am super impressed.

Fourth of July Fun

There is a parade in our neighborhood every fourth of July!  We ride our bikes.  It is great fun!  We also decorate our bikes (and shirts).

Once we get to the park, there's a lot of fun to be had: sprinklers, running, snacks, 

playground . . .   There were actually tons of people there but this is the only picture we took.  You will just need to use your imagination!

I even painted my fingernails.

Grayson got in on the action, too.  Do you like his shirt?

We ALL had shirts!  We made them!  What fun.  Uncle Bill took this picture.  He and Aunt Nettie came over for a cookout.  Daddy was on a sailing trip.  We missed him but we had a lot of fun celebrating the fourth!

Grayson made his own fun.  He is taking everything out of one of Momma's drawers.

While we were crafting, I decided to paint this castle.

And to make a pearler bead project.  I had a lot of fun!

Finished castle!  Bowser is very happy with his new abode.

Sailing

Daddy and I LOVE to go sailing!

What's not to love?  Wind, water, sails . . . 

As you see, I am still wearing these horrible no nos.  I am happy most of the time and able to roll with it all but sometimes a boy must express his disappointment.

And his JOY! On the boat!

Those pelicans cannot count - 57!  They only have 3.

Ah the water!

Surgery and NoNos

Things have been moving along and we never did a post about my surgery.

I had cleft palate repair surgery on June 3.

Here I am with Daddy.  I am in my special Texas Children's PJs all ready to go back.

And now some time with Momma.

I rode back to surgery in a cozy car.  I was carrying a picture of a hotdog from a matching game.  What can I tell you, I was hungry.

Here I am post op.  Five hours of surgery went very quickly for me.  Not so much for my parents.  What do you think of this breathing treatment mask? Is it a rhino? A dinosaur? A fish?  We could not quite decide.

I got to go home the next day. In this picture, I am still wearing my Texas Children's PJs.  I have to wear these arm bands called NoNos for several weeks.  They keep me from putting things in my mouth (I can't bend my elbows with them on).  Or they are supposed to keep me from putting things in my mouth - I have found ways around them.

I am as happy as ever!

Granddaddy and Grammy sent me this balloon!  And an edible arrangement for everyone else.  

I am having to eat baby food again.  I don't like it.  I LOVED getting to feed myself!

But it is not so bad.  I am having fun and, as always, I am a very happy boy!

Okay, my birthday was June 10!  We are sorry to be late with this post.  I had surgery to repair my palate on June 3rd so we have been a little busy!
