Mom's Happy Camper

My shirt says, "Mom's Happy Camper." My friends at church, Mary and Karen, gave me this great shirt.

My mom is actually at camp right now. She is at Youth Camp with 6 youth. I am sure she is having a great time.

Here in Houston, I am having an amazing time with mimi. She will be with me ALL WEEK! I couldn't wait for her to get here. We are having such fun!

Happy Boy Enjoys Corn

"Mummm, that's good!"

As we were enjoying our corn, daddy said, "Owen, you have eaten that corn so well, good job." I replied, "I am eating the corn. I am still eating."

Say What?

I have been saying, "What's up!" a lot lately. When asked who says that, I reply, "Uncle Jake!"

When asked to bring the puzzle to the middle of the floor, I said, "I can't carry it. I am too big."

Momma said, "I can only read one book tonight before bed." Daddy was helping me get ready for bed too so I brought one book to momma to read and a second book to daddy to read. I got to hear two books and momma only read one.

A little help from my friend

My friend Elyse came over on Monday and helped me play with my toys and read books . . .

and sit at our table and eat . . .

and relax on the couch with a couple of good books and a bear . . .

and make music with maracas . . .

and just chill-out with a drink . . .
(do notice that we both enjoy crossing our legs)

and Elyse helped me to think inside the box and then outside the box and then inside the box and then outside . . .

Thanks for the help, Elyse!

Discipline Details

Yes?
Here I am on Sunday, looking, according to my mother, like a big boy. I am getting very tall lately.

And here I am with daddy putting together a new puzzle. Thanks for these great floor puzzles, mimi and pops!

Molly is admiring the sea-life floor puzzle.

Say What? -- Discipline Details

Momma: You may not touch the china cabinet. You can touch the green chair, the couch, or this cabinet.
Owen: Okay, momma. I touch this cabinet.
10 minutes later . . .
Momma: Remember, you may not touch the china cabinet . . .
Owen: I not. PupPup is touching the china cabinet (I was holding PupPup's paw on the glass.)

Daddy: Owen, I know that is fun and you may not jump off the green chair. You can jump on the floor.
Owen: I am not on the chair. I am on the ledge (pointing to the part of the chair where the recliner folds under).

Momma: Owen, I understand that you are frustrated and you may not hit momma. You can hit balls.
Owen: I was patting momma. I not hit. I was patting.

Daddy: Owen please run around the puzzle. We don't want to hurt it.
Owen: We can run ON the puzzle.
Daddy: You can run AROUND the puzzle. You may not stand on the puzzle.
Owen: We can run ON it. Not stand, daddy, run!

Thing 1 and Thing 2

"My shirt says, 'Thing 1.'"

"I am Thing 1 from The Cat in the Hat."

Where is Thing 2?

What do you mean? PupPup can be Thing 2?
Really?

Oh yea, this is perfect. Together again . . . Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Hey, but what if I want to be Thing 2, too?

Ahhhh . . . Now, this is what I am talking about.

"PupPup, do you like to be Thing 2?"

We are 2 very happy Thing 2s.

Pancake Waffles

Here are my cats. Molly and Zoe like to pretend that they are toys.

Auntie Karon and Auntie Toni came to our house for "pancake waffles" (this is what I call waffles). First, I helped Auntie Karon make the batter.

I really enjoy stirring. After we made the pancake waffles, we ate them! They were delicious!

Once we finished eating we did a lot of playing. Here is Auntie Karon pretending to be a butterfly coming out of a cocoon. She is so funny!

Auntie Karon and Auntie Toni are just back from Vietnam. They brought me an amazing stamp collection book AND these glow sticks. I stayed in the bathroom looking at these glow for a long time.

I like to sing but I do not like to sing for the camera. Momma caught a little singing on tape before I knew she had the camera out.
